This is a great walk - and the detailed description is excellent. There are a few markers which look quite new but only to ensure that walkers don't accidentally stray onto the private area of the estate - the route is not marked but the paths are in good shape although I would recommend boots if you are doing the full circuit.

The trees around the cairns mean that there are only one or two really good viewpoints. The best is probably from Prince Leopolds cairn which overlooks Balmoral Castle.

And the climb to Albert's pyramid is a tough one at the end of the walk!
