:D Our first Munros. We struggled at the beginning as the information could have been clearer on here for novices like us. At the start you ascend on a gentle winding path ... but it doesnt make it clear that the path off to the right through the trees is on the winding path .... we saw ut but it was so small and insignificant we ignored it. When the path finished and met a forest road we were lost but luckily bumped into a fellow climber who pointed out a stream which we then had to climb up from the forestry road ... as this was the actual path! After that it was a steep steady climb. We were unused to this snd the lactic acid built up in our legs. When we got to the Spearhead we followed others and climbed up it. We believe there was an easier route to the left (yet the guidance says to go right??) ... we made it . The walk down towards Beinn Ime was a bit of 'find your own way to the path' which we could see in the valley below. From there it was an exhausting but steady climb up to Beinn Ime. The walk down impacting my old knees and ankles was the hardest bit physically. But a grest sense of achievement to have completed it.
