On the August bank holiday weekend last year, I hiked up Blencathra - an amazing hike that I highly recommend. I know some people say the Lake District is too busy and crowded in the summer (and during our trip, we did experience some of that) but we only came across a small number of people on this hike - and it was a national holiday too. I've put together a video of our hike, up via Sharp Edge and back down via Scales Fell. If you choose to watch it, I hope you enjoy it, or it maybe helps with your own trip planning?
