It turned out that a storm passed and it was a beautiful warm sunny walk up and down. The path is well-traveled, marked and often visited (the trail was full of people in fact). Quite the crowd...The one bone to pick with the path description was the return route alternative - which despite several attempts could not be found (no, we did not have a compass or GPS). When we spoke to the park ranger at the bottom, we were told that the alternative return path has been covered over purposely because the path went too close to a house and the owners were not favorable to the thousands of visitors passing by each year. In any event, we had an easy family walk and a good tea at the end in Balmaha...
