The midges nearly drove me off at the start, I have never been so savaged & looked like I had chicken pox  I am though very stubborn & carried on up the well marked path which was quite busy as it was a Sunday. The views of Loch Lubnaig & the heather beside you blooming, fragile & tough all at once are spectacular! We, my border collie & myself reached the top after several stops to eat & drink & massage aching calves. Unfortunately it was covered in fog & the views over to Glen Finglas were obscured but we live to go another day I guess  The walk down was faster & damper as the drizzle had set it but was pleasant enough & the midges had stopped! It was just brilliant to accomplish my first Corbett & something I'll never forget.

P.s get there early the car park is small.
