Father Son Wifey Moments on Curved Ridge and Aonach Eagach…

Scotland has long held a special place in my heart, my youngest boy ‘Harrison Munro’ is named after the hills that have given me some of my most special memories…
Fitting then that we get to share the hills together… Curved Ridge and the Aonach Eagach the highlights of this trip… definitely places to be careful but he’s good in the hills and does what he’s told - special memories - in my home from home…
In general curved ridge is fine, there’s probably three spots where additional care and support is required, the traverse after the scree, the first steep climb on the ridge itself, and then the final section including the crux, but provided you’ve a head for heights there’s nothing difficult…
So on to the Aonach Eagach…. Done this a few times and carried the boy up here as a baby but this was the first time under his own steam… Wifey seems to have got more nervous over the years but we got across safely with no issues…
Time for a post match swim in Glen Etive…
And then there was Skye, where my Mum took me some 40 years ago, and the unforgettable sights of Glencoe…
And I loved introducing Phoenix to Scotland… And was spoilt with this scene in departure from one of the most magic weeks ever…
