Ben More And Stob Binnein
Date walked: 12/08/2013
I arrived at the side of the road just before Ben More farm at the small sign, and decided to have a cuppa and a choccy bar only one car here so did not expect to see many people today.
Suited and booted and ready to go just followed passed the sign and onto track turned left and carried on all the way upto the gate
Just a few metres further on I found this small cairn checked satmap and map and followed it up really good track all the way to the top can't miss it really thats on a good day
quite steep as previously mentioned but it has to be done eh, came up to the stone wall and cracked on (Phew) On reaching the top I was amazed at the panoramic vistas er well really it was just clag, clag, and more clag,or should that be just Ben more clag
Quite a few people passed me on the way up,i thought not many people today how wrong was i and at one point I thought someone was doing free donkey rides to the top.
I decided to have my lunch at this point 3 hrs to get up was not bad even for me.I was waiting for the rain to start but it never amazed.A guy turned up just after me called Joe and I remained with him for the rest of the day, nice fella and made a nice change to have a chat on the way round with some one.
Eventually came to the large stone at the Bealach Eadar Da - Bheinn, good shelter Rock this is from wind and that horrible side rain one gets now and then
I was trying to look up to Stob Binnien but the rain and clag spoilt that, when i really got a good look it looked quite steep,a very good path all the way to the top so that was fine by me,around about this point a lot more people had arrived up here they where coming from all directions.
Got to the top joe had already got to the top before me He's a fitter walker than me by far,had a sit down for a while and then decided to head back down to the large boulder and then on down to the farm track and back to the car
Weather conditions wise bit of everthing really but the main thing was I enjoyed the day and these two munros
not much else to say about this report that's already been said a thousand times but it's my report and it;s these reports that spur me on as usual weather clears up on way back, some more pics below enjoy
