tinkers loch
Date walked: 05/05/2014
Time taken: 3.5 hours
Distance: 8km
Ascent: 440m
Have not been out in a while so just went out with the dog for a wee warm up. Nothing too serious, or so I though. Headed up to a little hill loch called "tinkers loch". It sits north of loch chon and south of loch katerine. It is a walk of about 2 miles and 1 mile around the loch, the loch is about 440m above sea level and has a very steep track up to it, about 3/4 up the hill it isn't just as steep then it get very boggy. Once you get to the loch it is quite heavy going thrashing through the heather. Its a great wee walk if you have a few hours spare and there is fish in the loch as well if anyone fishes
