Definitely a two-boot walk

Route: Lindores Loch circuit, Grange of Lindores

Date walked: 23/08/2020

Time taken: 2.3 hours

The views of the loch are great and we had fun scattering the hunners of grouse skittering across our path. But a lot of the route is on rutted farm paths overgrown with nettles and thistles (glad we decided not to walk in cut offs!) or across tussocky rough hillside. Not sure that we found the right 'corner of the plantation' but a Scotways marker and a friendly farmer got us back down to Inchyre Lodge. Thereafter we thought we followed the directions in Stage 5 to the letter but ended up coming back on ourselves to the Lodge so decided to walk into Lindores along the B road (no pavement). Fortunately most Scottish drivers are used to seeing walkers on roads and give you a wide berth but it wasn't our most relaxed mile. When we saw how overgrown the correct path was, we felt that we had made the right decision. This walk might be easier when less overgrown but it is certainly not joining our favourites despite the views.
