Beinn Ime
Route: Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ìme
Munros: Beinn Ìme
Date walked: 13/09/2015
Time taken: 6 hours
[ Ok so here goes for my first walk report.
My other half Steven and I set off from car park at 8.30am with the goal of climbing Beinn Ime. We had intended to do it a few weeks ago when we did Narnain but opted instead to do the Cobbler that day. I didn't take many photos on the way up as I took loads when we climbed Narnain, but couldn't resist taking one of each of us with The Cobbler in the background.
We followed the really good path right to end where it divides and goes up to The Cobbler and then we head through the very boggy ground for Beinn Ime. We could see a faint path and just followed this dodging the boggy bits as best we could. We didn't meet any walkers on the way up. Sometimes the path resembled a stream more than a path! Anyway we trudged on and the path got better further up.
We made it to the summit at a 11.30am and found a sheltered spot for lunch. Unfortunately the views where not great thanks to the clag.
The weather cleared and the walk back provided us with great views and we met loads of other friendly walkers who where on their way up.
