Route: West Lomond via the Bunnet Stane

Arrived at car park with clouds on the hill top. Reckoned - happily - rightly that they were lifting. Fairly obvious route all the way.
From car park a (small layby) track is signposted between fields - being harvested today. Leads as WH route says to the Bunnet stane. Worth doing the walk to see this rock formation. At the top of the field the track is obvious and after the style others are available - some more open than others and just keep heading up. Trig point with superb views over countryside and Loch Leven and out to the Fife coast. Coldish strong wind had arrived with me, so I was grateful to whoever created the generous sized windbreaks to open the flask in. and sit a few minutes. Did not have time to do the WH circular , and returned much the same way. Walking past the sheep I noticed a small plaque on a gate post - a poem for the Bunnet Stane.
Excellent short walk for a pleasant afternoon.
