530 am start for the drive from Dundee to Loch Muick carpark. Got there by 0745, said hello to the only two others in car park and were walking by around 8am. Pleasant walk in past herds of grazing deer. Nice walk with clear path most of the way up until we got to the ladder where the path was completely hidden by quite slippy snow. After a few failed attempts we moved past the sheet and made our way up threw the boulders, easy enough task and met the path back at the top. Pleasant walk along the outskirt of lochnagar below until the final steep pull to the summit. Amazing weather, views for miles right over the cairngorms. Sat for lunch at the summit, then wandered down and over to Càrn a' Choire Bhòidheach. Minimal effort required to add this on, we decided to call it a day here met back up with the waterfall path down from lochnagar. Quite steep in places but good path all in all, worst part is the looooooong walk along the loch back to the car park. Overall a thouroughly enjoyable day on the white mounth
