First highland walk ever

Route: The Pap of Glencoe

Fionas: Pap of Glencoe

Date walked: 30/07/2018

Time taken: 3.5 hours

Distance: 7km

First ever walk anywhere north of the lake district and I'm glad we chose the Pap of Glencoe. We'd been over to fort William the day before to take a look at Ben Nevis but the weather wouldn't allow it. Our campsite owner said this would be a nice easy intro walk to highland walking, I think he lies  Anyway, we made it to the top with 2 little shih tzus leading the way. Got to see Ben Nevis in all its glory from the summit so that was great. Path seemed in good condition despite the description saying otherwise and there were more than one route up the final scramble. We went up the left and came down the right. Beinn a'Bheithir tomorrow!
