after an early start and a 9 hour drive we managed to reach staffin while it was still light. the intention was to park up on at the side of meall na suiramach and camp down ready for walking at first light. this was our forth time on skye and used to the weather(wet). we could not have been more wrong. we camped with the door of the tent facing the quiraing
at dawn we set of up meall na suiramach, nothing difficult, the views out acroos the little minch to torridon and gairloch were stunning




the good thing about walking meall na suiramach first is that it lets you know where the table is, as it is certainly not obvious when you walk back through the quiraing.
