So nice after days of heavy rain to see the hills clearer.

The route was simple, at the car park there is a house opposite the entrance with a road/track. Walkers/cyclists/runners are welcome, simply follow the path - discreet markers, very simples.

The path that way is cyclable, but a bit of narrow track/pushing in places further up. The road/land rover track on the other side of the river is in great condition and cyclable all the way to summit should that be your thing.

I would not be too hung up on "the long walk in", its really no hardship at all and its not that long. Its flat and beautiful and lovely for walking/running.
