Mayar

Route: Mayar and Driesh, Glen Clova

Munros: Mayar

Date walked: 07/01/2012

Time taken: 4.5 hours

Distance: 11.3km

Ascent: 705m

Undoubtedly the strongest wind I've ever experienced. Intended to do Dreish as well but snow was too deep so Mayar only - keep Dreish for another day!

The slight kink in my route map was caused by chasing after my goggles! The wind was so strong on the summit they were plucked from my face and tumbled down the eastern flank. Unbelievably I managed to drop down and find them.

Still in the shelter of Corrie Fee at this point!
