For our last day on Lewis we stayed around Stornoway and went for a walk around the grounds of Lews Castle. The grounds have great views from the coastal parts across to Stornoway, and woodland which made this perfect for a hot day like today. They're within easy walking distance of the town centre. There's no need to go into details about the route, but we roughly mirrored the route mapped above.

Afterwards we spent an hour or so inside the excellent Museum nan Eilean (connected to the castle) before walking back into Stornoway ahead of our ferry crossing. A very different morning's walking to the rest of the week spent on Harris - "normal" scenery, but abnormal for the Western Isles! And a relaxed way to finish a memorable week on this beautiful island :D
