Ardblair daunder
Route: Ardblair Trail & Bluebell Woods, Blairgowrie
Date walked: 15/02/2013
Time taken: 2 hours
Distance: 9.5km
As no-one has written a report about this walk I thought I would, it's also my first report. As we are not really winter walkers and tend to keep at lower levels at this time of the year, we opted for Blairgowrie as its only 20 mins from where we live. Rather than park in the middle of Blair we decided to park just off of Newton street, then followed the finger post for the ardblair walk. It is really well sign posted with finger posts and way markers . After following the signs you eventually go through darroch woods. Not much to see at this time of year but I am sure in the summer it would be lovely. After leaving the woods you cross a field, which takes you to fingask loch, nice spot for a sandwich. Back onto the path, then cross a small wooden footbridge and pass white loch, where there was a few stray hay bales!!! Through the woods then through a kissing gate, which takes you past the back of some houses. Rather than go through the town with muddy boots and trousers, we followed the waymarked path back to ardblair wood then back through the farmyard. After that its just a case of following the fingerpost back to the car. A nice sunny day.image.jpg[/attachment]
