This was a splendid walk on a lovely late summer day. There's are several excellent cafes near the Linlithgow train station where you can provision yourself for the day. It's a short walk up to the canal path, then a clear and mostly level path from there (until Falkirk). There are path is very pleasant, and you go by the Canal Museum, lovely canal boats, wooded areas, and a really high aqueduct. At the end you can optionally descend to Callendar house in Falkirk. Highly recommended for an easy but satisfying walk easily accessible from Glasgow or Edinburgh,
