A pleasant walk to the east of Aboyne, taking in woodland, moorland, farmland, and river banks. A bit boggy in section six (on the map) - there are frogs - and there are several gates, but only the first is a bit awkward. I found, though, that the bridge over the Dee in Aboyne was closed to all traffic, so if you are on the South Deeside Road, you can't drive into the town, you'll have to park on the bridge and walk or cycle in. Online research reveals the bridge could be closed for months.
