Route: Moruisg and Sgùrr nan Ceannaichean
Munros: Moruisg
Date walked: 19/02/2013
Time taken: 4.5 hours
having camped for 2 nights at ledgowan and having done 2 fairly big days sunday and monday i opted for this short day / route and an early set off home in the afternoon,
after crossing the river and then passing under the railway some forestry work [ tree planting ] is currently being done and its worth noting the markers low down pointing to the gate in the newly erected deer fencing which cannot be crossed higher up the mountain !
bear slightly to the right after the first gate and you should see the gate up the hill slightly on the right of the gully lines dropping from higher up the summit slopes,
a pleasant path follows the stream coming down from the left hand gully and makes for quick progress, a put crampons on and climbed this gully higher up to arrive almost on the l summit, with fine veiws all round.
soon made my way back down and arrived back by the car at 2.00 pm, had a pleasnt drive home through kintail and stopped for tea & a pint at kingshouse as usual, back soon !!
