Llyn y Fan Fach
Date walked: 13/07/2018
Time taken: 3 hours
Ascent: 734m
We came here on a Sunday to do some walking, with the intention of avoiding the crowds that usually gather at Pen Y Fan. This area is not easy to find and the access is a bit dicey in places, so be warned!
The area is much like the rest of the brecon Beacons; completely barren and devoid of any natural vegetation or wildlife, but it has it's own rugged appeal.
The views as you climb are pretty incredible. The hills in this part of Wales have a really distinctive shape, kind of like tidal waves.
The views from the top are worth the climb. It is only about 100 meters lower than Pen y Fan, so if you have ever done that one, this one should be a breeze.
