Suardalan bothy from Gleannbeag
Route: Gleann Beag and the Glenelg Brochs to Suardalan
Date walked: 03/12/2017
Time taken: 4 hours
Distance: 14km
Took advantage of a short winter day to walk up the Glen to visit the bothy at Suardalan. The road walk at the start is a bit tedious but the brochs are well worth a visit. Parts of the track are quite muddy underfoot but nothing out of the ordinary for Scotland in December. It's a pleasant walk and well worth it if you're looking for something that's not too taxing but with the added bonus of a bothy at the end of it for a sit down and a brew. Didn't meet a soul all day until the farmer from the end of the road stopped and asked if I wanted a lift back to my car!
