Polhollick Bridge is closed until October 2015
Route: Seven Bridges and Knock Castle, Ballater
Date walked: 20/09/2015
Distance: 10.5km
This walk is currently not possible due to the temporary closure of Polhollick Bridge until October 2015.
There are notices posted at the start and at key points along the walk, but you'd only find these once you arrived at the start point.
There isn't an alternative to cross the Dee, so the only other option is to walk it in two parts.
As I was already there, I followed the fist part of the route, then carried on west past Polhollick Bridge for a few miles, roughly following the bank of the Dee.
This proved tricky in places, but there are some fishermens' paths and a track part of the way.
