An absolute scorcher of a day brought me to the beautiful Glen Feshie to tackle a few of its remote Corbetts. I biked in from Achlean to the bottom of Slochd Mór and set off on foot up the twisty track.

Once I summited the Slochd, i swung a left and headed off to the first Corbett of the day, Leathad an Taobhain. At 912m, it is just below munro status. There was easily identifiable tracks the whole way to the summit with excellent views across to the Glen Tilt hills and back to the Cairngorm massif.

I made my way back to the Slochd summit and headed west along the track past the forestry and followed a faint path up onto Meall an dubh-chadha. The lack of rain over the past week meant the going was quick over the crispy heather. I had lunch on top of Meallach Mhór and took in the view down to Gaick Pass.

I retraced my steps, following the intermittent tracks and once back at the forestry headed up the nose of Carn Dearg and then on to Carn Dearg Mhór, the final Corbett of the day.

I then made my way back down to the Slochd summit and was grateful to have the bike at the bottom to take me back to Achlean!
