I tried to do this walk in May but was beaten by the weather , horizontal rain and low cloud. Not this time though, an early start in bright sunshine and blue skies with more of the same for the foreseeable future. With this in mind I decided to go
for a wild camp and just enjoy.

It was only a thirty minute drive to Inverlael carpark from Badralloch and I was soon heading along the good track through the forrest to the ruins at Glensquaib and the start of the climb up to Drum na Squaib .

The pull up the zig zag path was long and steep and really made me question my packing strategy, still too late now,but the views of Beinn Dearg and back to An Teallach more than made up for the aches and pains.
With a good path to follow I soon reached the crossing of the Alt Gleann a Mhadaidh, the morning was really heating up now so I took the oppertunity to fill both camel pack and water bottle.
After a quick bite to eat it was of again and into Coire an Lochain Sgeirich, the path made for easy going and as I was in no rush I found a comfy rock and just sat and soaked up the absolute beauty that is the highlands.
I could have sat all day and drank in the scenery but that wouldn't get me my first munroe so onwards and upwards.The path soon peters out so its map and compass aiming to pass just north of Loch a Chadha Dheirg.I wandered along the rim of the high ground searching for away down to the loch and found it just to the right of a large outcrop of quartz . The path is steep but passable with care though I was glad of the dry conditions and good visability I'd never have found it in clagg.
The cliffs of Cadha Dearg are spectaular in fact I don't think any verb could really do them justice. I wandered around taking photo after photo none of which come close to capturing their majesty .I decided I wouldn't find anywhere better to pitch for the night so dropped my pack behind a rock and carried on for Seana Bhraigh.
Without my pack I soon reached the top marked at 906 m and then carried on to Seana Bhraigh my first munroe,more photos,more awe, at the top I found myself grinning like a fool ,my first munroe my first munroe, but definitly not my last.
All to soon it was time to head back down and get the tent set up , location location location, I just wandered around soaking it all in, cooked my all day breakfast made some tea and marvelled that I had all this just to myself.[attachment=0]SAM_2209.1.jpg[/attachment
After a good nights sleep I retraced my steps back out , writing this and looking at the photos again I still find it hard to believe just how wonderfll a time I had, roll on my next munroe.
