Glencoe on a clear sunny day, with a bitter east wind.

I had a feeling that the views today could be worth the 4 hour round trip.
Buachaille Etive Mor did look appealing from the parking at Altnafeadh.

Bit of snow at the top of the gully on the ascent route.

I followed the WH route on the initial part of the climb up Beinn a Chrulaiste, out of the wind and in the sunshine, it was lovely and warm.
When I was onto the broad ridge, I walked close to the Southern edge and enjoyed the views from there.
No shelter from the east wind here.

Made my way along the ridge, with plenty of stops along the way and up to the summit.
It was blowing a gale here but the views were worth it..

I walked off the summit a bit to get some shelter from the wind and found a comfortable spot to have some lunch.
Looking across to Buachaille Etive Mor, I noticed two walkers on the summit and zoomed in for a photo, it must have been breezy up there.

The views up Glencoee were fantastic.

After a long break I relunctantly decided to head back down.
On the descent I noticed a roadside fire up Glen Etive.

Fortunately, it didn't seem to last very long and the smoke soon started to diminish.

Had to take a couple more photos before I got down to the road.

Back to the car and then a lleisurelydrive home.
Cracking day out, such a joy to actually be able to see Glencoe in the sun.
:D
