Arrived at the car park about midday it was dry but cloudy, this was my first attempt at ghlas and lawers so off I went wondering what lay ahead , about half way up it was starting to get cold and the wind was getting up so into the rucksack I went to get the gloves out guess what no gloves they were still in the car .anyway just before the summit of ghlas I met a young woman whom I had spoken to in the car park beforehand, the cloud had descended over the summit by this time it was very windy and freezing cold and she wasn't sure about carrying on , but me arriving I think just gave her that little bit more confidence not that I'm an expert this was my first time on this hill as well. So the 2 of us carried on made it to the summit of ghlas and the cloud had lifted enough for us to see the path down and up towards lawers, so we decided to carry on by this time I couldn't feel my hands so had the sleeves of my insulated jacket pulled over my hands and it did help so we made it to the summit of lawers and headed back around the path at the foot of beinn ghlas I think her name was rebecca so if you read this rebecca thanks for the company and the chin wag on the way back to the car park
