BEAVER ROUTE
Route: Loch Coille-Bharr and the Beavers
Date walked: 25/05/2015
Time taken: 2.5 hours
Distance: 5km
A lovely walk with much to surprise us although not much opportunity to see the Loch on the first part. We then discovered that the SE section of the walk is where the Beavers have been re-introduced into Scotland with many signs of their presence from chomped trees to a dam and informative boards. The route has obviously been altered in this section but there are clear way marks to follow. We then came across the information hut with a car park which told us all about the re-introduction programme. We felt that the walk would be better if it went clock wise around the Loch as this is the way in which the information about the beavers is laid out and it could possibly start at the Beaver Information point.
