Walk to the falls
Route: Falls of Acharn and the stone circle, near Kenmore
Date walked: 03/02/2022
Distance: 2km
Such a beautiful walk to the falls.
At the start of the walk we passed an old phone box with books and painted rocks thanking the NHS for their work during Covid-19.
After the phone box, we walked up the left hand side and over the first bridge.
There was an easy path to the next bridge. Would recommend keeping dogs on lead as there are quite a few sharp drops.
However, when you get closer to the top there is a perfect area to let the dogs off for a quick swim.
Then we headed back down the other side to get a nice view of the mountains.
Finally, we reached the caves, which were longer than expected before heading back to the car. Really nice and easy walk. Took around 45 minutes.
