- Ideal day out: oh, it's a mix. I've done plenty of scary scrambles, mostly in the Western US. But lovely lochside rambles are fantastic. I guess my perfect day out is a high quality short hike, preferably with either a slot canyon or lovely views and a bit of scramble.
