- Ideal day out: A long walk off the beaten track (10-15 miles) taking in a mountain with an extension across lower level terrain. I don't have much of a head for heights but usually manage to find a way up the hill! Prefer to take my time and take in the view, absorb the atmosphere, especially if the skies and water are moody and atmospheric.
