Munros: Beinn a' Chochuill, Beinn Eunaich, Ben Cruachan, Stob Daimh
Corbetts: Beinn a' Bhuiridh

Date walked: 27/04/2024

Time taken: 13 hours

Distance: 34.03km

Ascent: 2521m

I had been planning on completing this walk for several months and was waiting for a free weekend. A free day materialised and the weather looked friendly. Low winds and only a little bit of wet stuff (it turned out to be snow!).

I parked just off the A85. There are loads of places to park along the road, which is really lucky as I had a 3 hour journey there and started at 10:30am.

I headed up through the farm.

Followed the path until I reached the coire below Beinn Eunaich and walked up Allt Lairig Ianachain. Then up to the summit of Beinn Eunaich. The photo is looking towards Beinn a'Chochuill.

I didn't get a photo of from the top of Beinn a'Chochuill as it was quite busy and I was keen to get on!

Down to the col and back up (we see the dog posing on the way back up). There were no sheep above about 700m.

At this point I got to the choice of the day, do I do the top and the Corbett or do I skip it. The decision was helped along by the coup at the top of Stob Daimh, who I talked to and I pointed out that the ascent was less than walking up from the bottom. I sold it to myself :D looking over towards the Corbett and on to Loch Awe.

Then it snowed!

I returned and contoured around the base of Stob Diamh and head up to the Munro top Drochaid. From there I walked on and look back the way I had come.
