So... I did my first munro in 2 and a half years...

Route: The Cairnwell Munros

Munros: Càrn a' Ghèoidh, Càrn Aosda, The Cairnwell

Date walked: 23/05/2012

Time taken: 6 hours

Distance: 13.6km

Ascent: 750m

Those with a long memory will remember I pranged the tendons in both legs through (a) stupidity (b) over tightening crampon straps. Long story short - it has taken two and a half years to heal (hopefully properly) and yesterday was my first (second and third) munro since the initial injury.

I opted for the Cairnwell 3 since it gave me many jumping off points if I felt things weren't going well - that, and you start off about two-thirds of the way up them anyway.

No point waffling on about this, that and the other since the Cairwell 3 are, well, 'non descript' to put it politely.

Having said that, here is a route map followed by a selection of photos...
