Ben Lawers & Beinn Ghlas
Munros: Beinn Ghlas, Ben Lawers
Date walked: 16/10/2020
Time taken: 5.5 hours
Distance: 12.7km
Ascent: 927m
Myself, my 11 year old and dog climbed Ben Lawers on Friday (October 2020)
this is just a wee note to folk who plan on climbing with children. In my opinion, this is a proper mountain despite being the same rating as Ben Chonzie, this is a totally different experience and climb. it shouldn't be underestimated but is very doable.
The weather at the top was very cold, ice was forming in places, sight was limited in parts. I recommend taking the path back down, however, I reckon this would be a boring way to climb and you would miss one munro.
Overall a fantastic experience but that will be the munros until 2021 now
