Ben More & Stob Binnein Simulation party

Date walked: 11/07/2011

Time taken: 7 hours

Distance: 14km

Ascent: 1574m

Will I ever trust the weatherman? It was meant to clear.

Therefore I staged a simulation party with the Glenrothes Hillwalkers Club and had a Ben More / Stob Binnein 'photo-shopped' walk instead. I invited a group of friend to collect some large rocks, don waterproofs, bring sodden sandwiches and gather in my back garden where I would supply copious amounts of rain via the garden hose and fake the mist with a disco smoke machine. The results were impressive.
