. The hike/wild camp was definitely one to remember. It was a stunning day with back to back sunshine and no wind or midges. I must admit it was a fair old trek carrying a 14kg rucksack but I got my 4 Donalds in the bag and had a superb pitch for my tent. I would say the only down side to the hike was there was a fair bit of bog to negotiate but that's just nit picking and a minor detail.
I set off at sun up back to the van ( car park would take about 4 cars ) I was still the only vehicle in the car park . Total time walking was about 7 hrs. Would have been a tad quicker with a day sack. It's a hike I'll never forget because of the absolutely jaw dropping sunrise 🌅
