mayar and driesh from glen prosen
Date walked: 03/12/2023
Time taken: 5 hours
Distance: 18km
Ascent: 762m
Done Mayar and Diesh from Glen Doll about 30+ times but decided to try from Glen Prosen .
Tried two weeks ago but got blown over on the first attempt so waited for calmer weather and that was Sunday for me.
Parked at the bridge before the Prosen Lodge and headed off.
Past the game keepers buildings and larder , over the cattle grids and up the track that says road closed .
Good landrover track that narrows to a single track up to the top of Driesh. Fine 360 views , some snow but i have seen it way worse up their.
On to Mayar , photos and vids taken and met a chap who had just completed his very first Munro. the double back the path to find the Kilbo path back down the prosen Glen, just find the end of the wire fence and thats your path down , others are available
Down into the glen and the sun was hidden from view so the temps went down but i had a good clip going so not to chilly,
