Ben Donich
Route: Ben Donich, via Rest and Be Thankful
Corbetts: Ben Donich
Date walked: 11/12/2009
Time taken: 3 hours
I tried this earlier in the year but never made the summit due to rain and thick cloud. I couldn't see where to put my foot for the next step.
Today however, was slightly different. Excellent weather, although still a bit wet from the snow melt and very slippery where the snow was still settled and frozen in place. There was also a chill easterly wind, which necessitated a little detour down to the shade of the west slope for a cuppa.
Anyone who has been on this hill will know it's not a long walk as the carpark is quite high, but it still takes it's toll on the legs.
Anyhoo. Here's some pics: -
