Hear pronunciation Press to hear pronunciation

Stob an Aonaich Mhòir is a very remote hill on the south side of Loch Ericht, across from the mighty Ben Alder massif. A private tarred road ascends high across its flanks from Loch Rannoch side and a bicycle is of great use when making the approach.

Other routes and challenges

It is also possible to reach the hill from Dalnaspidal Lodge on the A9, but this route is long and the terrain from Loch Garry onwards gives very hard going.
