Other routes and challenges

A spectacular alternative route is to head into the heart of this wild area from Poolewe. From Kernsary the route heads eventually to the causeway between Fionn Loch and Duch Loch. Continue on the stalkers' path above Carnmore before striking off for the west ridge of the mountain, south of Fuar Loch Beag. This offers some scrambling en route to the summit. For the return, a stalkers path can be picked up from the bealach between A' Mhaighdean and Ruadh Stac Mor.
