Sgùrr Mòr (Loch Cuaich)

Sgùrr Mòr is big, steep and rocky mountain and is amongst the most remote Munros to reach, rising between Loch Cuaich and lonely Glen Kingie. It is most usually climbed from Strathan at the head of Loch Arkaig, a route involving a climb over an intervening pass on both the way out and back.

Other routes and challenges

Alternative routes are much longer than that given above, although kayakers could reach the foot of the mountain by crossing Loch Cuaich.

One possibility is an epic traverse over Gairich from the Cuaich dam, possibly returning down Glen Kingie.
