Sgùrr nan Gillean is commonly regarded as the finest of the Skye Cuillin. A magnificent pyramidal peak, it has three main ridges. The easiest is open to keen scramblers only whilst the other two ridges are graded rock-climbs.

Other routes and challenges

The route above is the only one open to non rock-climbers. Of the other two ridges, the West ridge is a Moderate climb (often abseiled in descent) whereas the north ridge, or Pinnacle Ridge, is a Difficult climb.
