The locally-based photographer, Andy Farrer becomes the ninth person to win the overall title and the \u00a310,000 prize. His picture was chosen, by the judges, from the thousands of entries that showcase the richly diverse landscape of the UK. A shot of Glen Coe by Damien Shields took the The Sunday Times Magazine\u2019s Choice award.<\/p>\n<p>From light dappled water and mist-filled forests to extreme climbing and mountain biking within our most challenging landscapes, the winning photographs in the \u2018Take a view &#8211; Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards\u2019 not only display the talent of their creators but also inspire visitors to explore and discover the British countryside.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie Waite, one of Britain\u2019s leading landscape photographers and founder of the Awards said, \u201cAndy\u2019s winning photograph of this beautiful area of Dorset\u2019s Jurassic Coast is a gentle image with a simple, effective composition that reflects the mood of a cold, winter\u2019s morning. Winning entries will be displayed on the Balcony of London Waterloo from 23rd November 2015 until 7th February 2016.
