The Glenview<\/a> – based on the Trotternish peninsula on the Isle of Skye – has built a strong reputation for delicious locally-sourced food and friendly service. The Restaurant with Rooms won the award for Best Restaurant \/ Cafe in the Highlands and Islands. The prize for Best Visitor Attraction went to Speyside-based Craggan Outdoors<\/a>, which offers one of the widest range of outdoor activities in the Highlands and has been Tripadvisor\u2019s top rated outdoor centre in Scotland since 2009.<\/p>\n Finally Morag’s Lodge<\/a> – a hostel at Fort Augustus – beat fellow Walkhighlands’ advertising member Whitefalls Spa Lodges, which offers Hebridean luxury retreats on the Isle of Lewis.<\/p>\n All the winners will automatically go through to the finals of VisitScotland\u2019s Thistle Awards making this year\u2019s Highlands awards doubly important.
