Strathfarrar has a locked gate and only a certain number of cars are allowed into the Glen each day. There are no restrictions on pedestrian access or taking a pushbike beyond the locked gate and wild camping is allowed within the terms of the Scottish Access Code but you cannot park overnight in the Glen. There will be no vehicular access on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.<\/p>\n<p>The Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCofS) negotiates access along the private road with the landowner on behalf of walkers and climbers and this year\u2019s opening times will be:<\/p>\n<p>31 March \u2013 April: 9am-6pm<br \/>\nMay: 9am-7pm<br \/>\nJune: 9am-8pm<br \/>\nJuly: 9am-8pm<br \/>\nAug: 9am-8pm<br \/>\nSept: 9am-7pm<br \/>\nOct: 9am-6pm<\/p>\n<p>Last vehicle access is one hour before closing time. A maximum of 25 vehicles are permitted in the glen on a given day. The glen is closed to vehicles all day Tuesday and Wednesday until 1.30pm. The winter arrangements start on 1 November and involve contacting the MCofS for the padlock combination and permission to take a car into the Glen.<\/p>\n<p>The mountains accessed from Strathfarrar include the Munros; <a href=\"\/\/www.walkhighlands.co.uk\/munros\/sgurr-na-ruaidhe\">Sgurr na Ruaidhe<\/a>, <a href=\"\/\/www.walkhighlands.co.uk\/munros\/carn-nan-gobhar-loch-mullardoch\">Carn nan Gobhar<\/a>, <a href=\"\/\/www.walkhighlands.co.uk\/munros\/sgurr-a-choire-ghlais\">Sgurr a\u2019 Choire Ghlais<\/a>, <a href=\"\/\/www.walkhighlands.co.uk\/munros\/sgurr-fhuar-thuill\">Sgurr Fhuar-thuill<\/a> as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walkhighlands.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/mullardoch-munros.shtml\">Mullardoch Munros<\/a>.
