Beinn Mhanach is an undistinguished Munro, a rounded lump when seen from any direction. It can be approached either up the attractive Auch Glen, or, less obviously, over the bealach Achaladair from Achaladair Farm.

A slightly shorter approach is from Achallader Farm. Head up Coire Achaladair to Coire Daingean and the bealach, then traverse the slopes to Lon na Cailliche.

The extremely fit could do that route as a detour from a traverse of the Munros from Beinn a' Chreachain to Beinn Dòrain.
