1. To reach the Loch na Bo car park take the B9103 south of Lhanbryde. After passing some houses on the left, the road crosses a small bridge. Turn left up an unsigned track immediately after the bridge, before reaching another house on the left. The very rough track requires care but leads to the car park for Loch na Bo. Follow the waymarked path to the left as you face the noticeboard. The path meanders through the trees and bracken, keep left at the fork, unless you prefer a shorter walk closer to the side of Loch na Bo as the right hand route joins up with this route eventually.

2. The route is waymarked with white marker posts with yellow bands which can be hard to see sometimes. Follow the path through the trees and curve to the right near the edge of the woodland. To the right is another small loch but it is full of reeds and hard to see because of the dense foliage. Where a track comes in from the left, keep right and soon this leads to the edge of Loch na Bo with a good view of Loch na Bo house across the water. The shorter route joins from the right as this route keeps left to skirt round the top of the loch. There is a short detour to a shelter with a seat overlooking the water.

3. When the path reaches the surfaced driveway turn right and follow it until a bend where you continue straight ahead on a, sometimes muddy, track. Where the route forks and both are marked with white waymarkers take the right path which soon passes a small loch on the left. There is a detour path down to the water's edge. The path soon reaches a track with steps straight ahead. Turn left and follow the wide track through the trees and back to the car park at the start.
