Ben Cruachan and Stob Dàimh circuit

Other routes and challenges

Ben Cruachan is almost invariably climbed by the route given above, though some walkers omit Stob Dàimh and return the same way. Stob Dearg - also known as the Taynuilt Peak - is a very shapely summit and is well worth climbing. Including the Corbett Beinn a' Bhùiridh involves a steep and rocky ascent from the Lairig Torran.

The super fit and very experienced can attempt to extend the route to take in Beinn a' Chochuill and Beinn Eunaich, though the descent and reascent into the Lairig Noe is on tricky terrain.
