A very short leg-stretcher to this popular waterfall and picnic spot, where the River Falloch falls in a single 10m leap, particularly impressive when in spate.

The Falls of Falloch is a popular beauty spot with benches for picnics. While requiring only a very short walk to view the falls, this can make a useful stopping point or brief leg-stretcher if travelling on the A82. From the car park follow the path through the trees with glimpses of the River Falloch below. At a junction turn right down some steps to an area where you can explore the edge of the river which can be impressive after wet weather.
Keep left following the bend in the river following the path over a small boardwalk bridge to the point where the Falls can be viewed.
When in spate the falls - and the massive pool beneath them - are very impressive, even more so if you are lucky enough to see an expert kayaker attempting the descent.
A recent addition is the 'Woven Sound' installation which provides a different viewpoint for the falls. Constructed from steel rods by John Kennedy; the installation features an entry from Dorothy Wordsworth's diary that recalls the thoughts of those who visited the falls during the days of the Grand Tour. From the sculpture turn left to follow the main path back, crossing a wooden bridge and passing another bench before the straight path back to the car park.
